# hall-sensor-breakout-board
First revision of the breakout board for the hall-sensors.
This PCB is used to read the position of the key in the [lock](https://gitlab.aachen.ccc.de/e-schloss/mechanik) and the state of the safety lever.
The first 5 Hall sensors are arranged in an arc and are used to read out the rotary encoder on the main gear. The last two sensors read out the status of the safety lever.
The first 5 sensors are arranged in an arc and are used to read out the rotary encoder on the main gear.
Additionally a status LED inside of the lever can be controlled.
The the DeBruijn sequence (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/De_Bruijn_sequence) currently implemented in the main gear is:
00000100011001010011101011011111
All Hall sensors have the same I2C address when powered up. To control all seven, they must be started one after the other and assigned new addresses.
The two last sensors readout the status of the "Jomoscher Hebel"
